PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
MOSQUITO SPRAY
The City of Monte Vista will be changing our spray schedule for the next two weeks. Starting July 1, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.
The mosquito population has exploded over the last two weeks and it seems our once per week is not meeting our goals and with the holiday coming up the staff at Public Works has decided to change our spray to twice per week for two weeks. Starting on July 1, 2024 the City will spray on Monday, July 1st and Wednesday, July 3rd. During the week of July 8 through 12th on Monday, July 8th and Wednesday, July 10th. We are hopeful that this change will knock down the mosquito population within the City Limits and allow for a more enjoyable 4th of July and Stampede.
For those that have an adversion to our ULV fogging practices the City will again accept applications to be placed on the “No Spray List”. Applications can be found on the City Website or Hard copies at City Hall.
